Jordin DeWald

Jordin DeWald started racing Jr Dragsters when she was 11 years old.  She grew up watching her dad and his friends race.  She has graduated from Jr Dragsters and now races Super Gas in her 1937 Chevy Truck.  When racing locally she races in the Super Pro Class.   Her home track is, Houston Raceway in Baytown, Texas, but she does travel around the surrounding states of Louisiana, Oklahoma and Kansas.
One of her favorite things about racing is that that she is a female in a male dominate sport.  Jordin says, " It is rewarding to have so much support from so many people when they learn that I'm a driver, especially in such a unique race car.  I alos love being able to strap into the truck and feel the adrenaline when I turn the truck on, pull up to the burnout box and make a run".
Jordin always puts forth her absolute best effort at every race.  Whether she wins or loses she always learns something that will help her in the future.  Her ultimate goal would be to win Super Gas Division/National event.  In the future she would like to win US Nationals in Indy, either in Super Gas or another class.  She also hopes to license and compete in Top Dragster and Top Sportsman class.  Ultimately she would love to have an opportunity to race Pro Mod or Top Alcohol Dragster.
Lastly her most memorable moment racing was the 2008 Division 4 Finals in Kennedale, TX while racing Jr Dragsters.  She won 15 straight rounds between Saturday and Sunday's race.  She won All Run 330 bracket race on Saturday night and made it to the final round in her age group for the Divisional Championship on Sunday.  Unfortunately she lost in the finals.
